Focaccia

Focaccia Bread

l love focaccia bread, dip it in olive oil and balsamic vinegar; it makes my day!


ingredients

All Purpose Flour 500g
Salt 11g
Warm water 325g
Sugar 5g
Olive oil 25g
Yeast 6g

method

Mix water, my east, sugar and salt in the mixing bowl, allow to stand then add olive oil, and flour in.
Mix the mixture on low with a hook attachment, be careful not to over mix it as this will cause gluten to form.


Oil a bowl and cover the dough with cling wrap touching the dough. Allow to proof once in bowl till it doubles in size, then transfers to a half sheet pan, adding all the toppings you want, and allowing it to proof once more.

(Possible toppings: cherry tomatoes, caramelized onions, olives, rosemary, anchovies, cheese, mushrooms etc. The sky is the limit.)


Heat oven to 425F, bake for 20-25 minutes, rotate halfway through baking time.
